Liam Phillips - World Championship Contender
February 24 2012This latest Contenders video features Great Britain squad rider Liam Phillips as he looks forward to competing in front of a home crowd at May’s BMX World Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.
After battling through injury, Liam has been training hard with Team GB at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, which has helped him get back into top form just in time for the World Champs and the London Olympic Games.

About the Event
The UCI BMX World Championships is the biggest annual prize in BMX racing with the worlds best riders chasing the right to wear the coveted rainbow stripes for the following 12 months. The event is also the last event in which nations can secure valuable qualification points as they strive to earn their place at the London Olympics in 2012. The event takes place in the Birmingham's NIA between 24th and 27th May 2012.
