Episode 3
January 12 2012It’s Christmas and Reporters' Academy's Eddie is halfway through his journey from BMX Zero to Hero. In Episode 3 we take a look at the other half of his double life and see how the “schoolboy by day, BMX racer by night” is fitting BMX training around his studies.
It’s just 4 months until Eddie aims to race at the BMX World Champs in Birmingham and between his exams he’s been practising hard at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, which is also where Team GB are training in the lead up to the World Champs and the London 2012 Olympic Games.

About the Event
The UCI BMX World Championships is the biggest annual prize in BMX racing with the worlds best riders chasing the right to wear the coveted rainbow stripes for the following 12 months. The event is also the last event in which nations can secure valuable qualification points as they strive to earn their place at the London Olympics in 2012. The event takes place in the Birmingham's NIA between 24th and 27th May 2012.
